Canadian music producer and YouTube personality Glenn Fricker of Spectre Sound Studios recently reviewed our brand new plugin Clairvoyant | Amp Suite and had some amazing things to say!
In his review, Glenn highlights that the Amp Sim is designed to be mix-ready right out of the box and is great for those who may not be experienced with dialing in tones. He also mentions another unique aspect of the plugin he liked, which is that the impulse responses (IR's) are not labeled with what microphones and speaker cabinets were used to capture the IR's. This forces the user to rely on their ears to find the sound they like, rather than being influenced by brand labels.
He also showcases the Fuzz Pedal on the Mid-Gain amp, which he describes as sounding "crazy cool." You can also now use "The Fuzz" as a standalone pedal in your DAW for free! Overall he was impressed with how Clairvoyant | Amp Suite sounds, and believes it is perfect for those who are unsure of what will work on their own record.
In conclusion, Spectre Sound recommended the Clairvoyant Amp Suite as a great tool for guitarists and mixing engineers looking for a mix-ready guitar sound, without the hassle of complicated settings. As he states in his review, "just plug it in, turn it on, and play your guitar - stop worrying about things and don't make things overcomplicated."
